Many people view science and religion as being in conflict, but it’s clear that in the foundations of modern science (that is, empirical mathematical science) a crucial enabling role was played by Judaeo-Christian theology, together with Greek philosophy and Roman law, during the Middle Ages. We can almost say that without Christianity, modern science would not exist.
